Madelaine Stager, L.Ac.

I am a graduate of Tri-State College of Acupuncture here in New York City, at which I earned a Masters of Science in Acupuncture.  Through my extensive training, I learned 3 styles of acupuncture including Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM) with myofascial trigger point release, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Kiiko Matsumoto (KM).  I have experience with Japanese Meridian Therapy and 5 Element Acupuncture.  I am familiar with other traditional Chinese therapies including moxibustion, gua sha, cupping, Chinese dietary theory.  I am certified in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture and Massage techniques.  I was selected as a faculty intern in the APM style, and a tutor for TCM and APM styles and completed a second internship in Classical Chinese Medicine and dietary theory.

Before beginning my studies in Chinese Medicine, I received my Bachelors of Music in Voice Performance from University of Colorado at Boulder.  I have performed in several operas, musical theater productions and was involved in many dance performances.  I understand the physical and emotional rigor of the training it takes to be dedicated to an artistic craft.

I have worked with many people using Chinese Medicine and lifestyle counseling to create positive results in treating a number of physical ailments and pain, as well as psychological and stress related complaints including anxiety, depression, and insomnia.  I believe in an integrated approach to healing and living in a modern, busy world.  Transformational healing can lead to health and learning to thrive.  I am committed to working with and educating my patients to achieve goals in life.  I continue to dedicate myself to growing and learning to best serve people in their personal journey of healing and transformation.
